Brooklyn Craft Central is pleased and proud to be working with the awesome Littlefield venue for the second holiday season in a row! This Holiday Market 2011 will continue to draw a tremendous number of shoppers and crafty talent, and offer delicious hot drink specials from the bar and local food from food trucks. AND.... as always, it falls on the last shopping weekend before Christmas - December 17 and 18 - the time when most patrons end up doing the bulk of their shopping!
This December, we will be accepting applications for ONE DAY ONLY - SATURDAY OR SUNDAY, so more makers can participate. Both days have proven to have equally good foot traffic in the past. This will enable this years BKCC Holiday Market to accommodate over 65 tables total, and be a reason for shoppers to come both days.
This event will be marketed to an extensive list of local blogs, press, and mailing lists and circulated to many crafting and New York related sites, as well as active social networking and word of mouth. BKCC's series has already become known and respected, and we're so happy about that....
VENDOR INFORMATION:
-- Only artists who make HANDMADE items or food may apply. Mass produced, commercial items will not be considered.
-- ** We will be curating based not only on quality and originality, but also on gift-worthiness! The process will involve a panel and a lottery (especially for popular categories like jewelry, baby, and body care). We get so many applications, that this is the way we must do it.
-- We are allowing handmade food, but please note all food must be pre-prepared and served at room temp or cold, as venue fire code states no open flames or food prep. You are required to hold a NYS Food Handler's certificate. We will have 1 - 3 food trucks out front as well serving hot food.
-- Space allotments are all 6 FOOT TABLE SPACES ONLY. You may rig whatever you'd like to your space, as long as it does not obscure your neighbor's wares or cause any damage to the venue.
** YOUR WHOLE SET-UP, INCLUDING STANDING RACKS, MUST FIT WITHIN THE ABOVE SPECIFIED DIMENSIONS. In other words.... please don't ask for a 6' table to go with your clothing rack....
-- YOU MAY SHARE! Please list shares together on one application. Please take note though - it is pretty tight sharing a 6' table... We will be curating shares separately.
-- We will be accommodating between 30 and 35 tables at this event EACH DAY, so 60 - 70 tables total for the weekend.
-- Setup is approx 10 - 11:30AM Breakdown is 6 - 7 PM
APPLICATION/ADMISSIONS INFORMATION AND PRICING:
- APPLICATION DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 4. All accepted vendors will be notified within a week after the app deadline, at which point they will receive a paypal invoice and more information.
